Meet the Author book launch
The United States Census Bureau, in 2002 listed 20 million children as living in a house hold with one parent, father or mother. 16.5 million Or 23% of all children were living with their single mother. 48% of children were African American living with their mother and her spouse, but they were not married. This percent was far greater than Asian, White –Non Hispanic, or Islanders.
She studied at Bishop State Community College, and also enjoyed a successful track and field career at the University of South Alabama.
She has a BS in Urban Sociology and in 2010, she earned an MBA in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York, New York.
Felicia P. Johnson is the author of two children’s books. She provides youth modeling opportunities. Her stories are complimented with colorful photos that are motivating, build character and provide enriching historical education.
Local authors and artists present, water color classes, and circle time reading at the launching.
Refreshments served by Star Bucks, the great tasting beverage and pastry makers.
